To Calculate how much material you require for a given area, you will need to know the loose bulk density (LBD) of the material.

Typically:

Sand – LBD                                   = 1.6t/m³

Grit – LBD                                    = 1.6t/m³

Soil – LBD                                   =1.7t/m³

Gravel – LBD                              =1.8t/m³

Our Rootzone – LBD                 = 1.45t/m³

Sand Soil Rootzone – LBD         =1.7t/m³

Example:

500m² ECO RootZone @ 300mm firmed depth.

500 x 0.330 = 165m³

ECO RootZone = 239 tonnes

500m², standard sand soil rootzone = 280 tonnes
